The Kwajalein Field Site Group serves as the scientific advisor to the Reagan Test Site at the US Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll installation located about 2,500 miles WSW of Hawaii. Staff members, accompanied by their families, work at this site, serving two- to five-year tours of duty. The Site's radars, optics and telemetry support missile testing, space surveillance, satellite launches, and scientific measurements. The radars also provide test facilities for technology development, and the remote location enables testing which cannot be done in the United States. MIT Lincoln Laboratory also introduces the Range to new customers and advises the government on long-term strategic planning regarding relevant emerging missions and technology.

 

The Kwajalein Field Site Group is seeking a professional and experienced individual for the Site Administrator position. The candidate will serve as the communications link and advisor between the group and Laboratory support services as well as local on-island mission and support contractors.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • PCS logistics coordination for all employees and accompanying family relocation to and from Kwajalein
  • Property management and recordkeeping for capital equipment, vehicles, and facilities
  • Coordination of visits to include arranging lodging, meals and entertainment along with managing a detailed agenda
  • Lead all site procurement efforts including tracking and executing all purchase orders, requests for bid, and major acquisitions
  • Coordinate and prioritize all related administrative workflow
  • Manage logistics of multiple Kwajalein Outreach Programs
  • Organize and plan social and professional events
  • Track group training requirements to ensure compliance
  • Coordinate office space allocation
  • Execute special projects as assigned

 

Ability to demonstrate outstanding and effective written and oral communication skills are essential. Must have a record of successfully working in a team environment along with effective methods of collaboration and interaction with all levels of personnel and Sponsors, requiring a professional, courteous, and organized demeanor. 

 

Extensive experience with PC operation and Microsoft Office suite is required. Experience with SAP/SRM (or similar systems) is required. Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively, be able to set priorities, and reliably manage multiple concurrent tasks. Professional discretion to protect sensitive and confidential information is essential. 

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field is desired.  Related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. At least 3 years of administrative related experience required, 5 years desired. Post high school education will count towards experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Outlook is required, familiarity with SAP is preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of Kwajalein logistical procedures and MIT Lincoln Laboratory administrative and security procedures highly desired.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, some night and weekend hours preparing for sponsor and social events.
  • Must have the ability to move and transport containers for various assigned duties.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Active security clearance highly desired.
  • Must be a current resident of Kwajalein Island.
