Job Description

 

Group 39 is seeking a co-op candidate who will provide complete IT hardware/software support for 70+ users.
 

Responsibilities:

 

  •     Complete operating system installations and troubleshooting for Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2019, and Linux (Red Hat and Ubuntu).
  •     Configure and maintain network infrastructure within the LAN between Windows and UNIX/Linux as well as connections to the LAN from remote locations.
  •     Assist staff members in day-to-day issues: troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems both on and off-site
  •     Identify vulnerabilities across all IT assets and apply patching and other fixes for remediation.
  •     Assist in developing our growing IT infrastructure. Work on existing projects and help develop new projects aimed at improving the group's IT effectiveness and efficiency.
     

Requirements:

 

  •     Currently enrolled in accredited Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Networking/IT Degree program.
  •     Must be knowledgeable of various operating systems: Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2019, Mac OS X, and Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.).
  •     Understanding of virtualization concepts; basic experience working with various hypervisors.
  •     Familiarity with Microsoft application software, as well as other application software, and should have a basic understanding of networking.

 

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
