                 Equipment Maintenance Project Technician (Intergrated Circuit) 1st Shift (Monday through Friday Schedule 6:30am - 3:00pm)
 

Description:

Candidate will work in the class 10 clean room of the Microelectronics Laboratory supporting a broad range of activities in the Advanced Technology Division manufacturing deep submicron devices, charge-coupled devices, and micro mechanical structures. Primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair various semiconductor process tools and work with area equipment specialists to assist in troubleshooting complex system failure and tool installs. Additional responsibilities include assisting external field service engineers in system maintenance and repairs. The goal of this position is to maintain a high level of equipment availability to ensure program work is produced with excellent quality and low cycle time. This position requires assisting in laboratory, research, or analytical work under direction or supervision of scientific personnel. Operates highly technical experimental apparatus. May direct and train technicians of lower grade. Has a good understanding of the theoretical aspects of the experiments. Has demonstrated outstanding skill and performance in the particular field of activity. Requires little or no supervision. In addition, the position requires demonstrated ingenuity in design, construction, operation or maintenance of highly technical and complicated apparatus. An exceptionally high degree of responsibility and ingenuity is expected of employees in this classification.

 

Qualifications:

Must have one or more of the following aptitudes: (a) Flair for improving scientific devices
(b) Unusual ingenuity at trouble shooting(c) Demonstrated ability at field engineering or test engineering
(d) Ability to do effective and important laboratory instructional work with students. Graduation from a two-year day technical school or its equivalent, and a minimum of ten years of applicable experience is required. A sound, basic knowledge of his/her particular field is important for this classification


• Previous experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance is preferred.

• Candidate should be well organized, detail oriented, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to follow process instructions accurately and consistently, with minimal supervision.

• This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a solid work ethic.
• Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills

• The candidate will document equipment maintenance via SOP's.

• Reliable (Solid attendance)

• Maintain a variety of semiconductor processing equipment.
• Understand equipment operation and be able to identify potential problems with the equipment through observation and if required, escalate resolution to the next level.

• Work with equipment specialist to learn newly installed tools and processes
