Job Description

 

Responsibilities include processing work orders for calibrated equipment and processing surplus materials and property. Will create work orders for equipment calibration service, unpack equipment upon return from calibration, and complete work orders. Will update property records in SAP for surplus property. Will sort and process scrap and surplus materials and property for disposal/disposition to include removal, degaussing, and destruction of computer hard drives. Will maintain records related to surplus processing as needed. Will palletize surplus materials and property and move it to the receiving dock. Must be physically able to lift heavy items. Must operate pallet jacks and be physically able to move pallets weighing several hundred pounds. Successful candidate will be detail orientated and possess good communication and customer service skills. Will be required to fill in for other stock clerks as needed. Candidate will be required to wear work clothes as provided by the Department.

Requirements

  •     High school diploma or equivalent required
  •     Must be physically able to lift heavy items
  •     Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and experience using pallet jacks, power jacks, electric carts, and other material handling equipment required
  •     Experience with SAP desirable
  •     Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required
  •     US citizenship required
