Technical Staff-Systems Analyst

Date: Feb 28, 2023

Location: Lexington, MA, US

Company: MIT Lincoln Laboratory

The Systems and Analysis Group provides analyses to senior USAF leadership on a broad range of technical topics with implications throughout the Department of Defense.

Group analysis topics include:

  • Survivability of advanced USAF aircraft versus modern air defenses
  • Impact of current and future electronic attack and electronic protection techniques
  • Effectiveness of advanced weapon systems
  • Capabilities and limitations of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems
  • Vulnerability of precision-guided munitions to threat counters

Many of these system analyses rely on a large body of modeling and simulation tools for RF, infrared, GPS, and directed-energy systems which our group creates, maintains, and utilizes. We also validate our modeling via collaboration with the Tactical Defense Systems Group (G108). In other cases, new models, supported by measurements and tests when feasible, are developed to evaluate new USAF capabilities. Where a rapid capability is sought, the group may lead multi-group coalitions in the fulfillment of these needs.
