Who are we? MIT Lincoln Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) whose mission is research in support of national security.
* Mission – The Security Department's overall mission is to ensure a safe and secure environment and protect MIT Lincoln Laboratory at all facilities in which staff members perform their mission of research and development. To accomplish this mission, this department formulates and implements policies, plans, and actions designed to protect facilities against threats of vandalism, accidental destruction and sabotage; and safeguards personnel, classified and unclassified information systems, personal identifiable information, property, and other assets from exploitation and recruitment by foreign intelligence agencies
What will you do? Selected candidate will serve as the Team Lead for Visitor Services Center (VSC) operations at the Main Complex and Forbes Rd.
General:
* Overseeing daily implementation of complex administrative and industrial security policies related to visitor access and credentialing
* Setting priorities, directing support personnel, and delegating tasks
* Providing information and assistance to customer groups concerning visitor and credentialing policies
* Coordinating the processing of unclassified, classified, and non-U.S. citizen visits
* Providing support for conferences, workshops, and special meetings while ensuring compliance with the Laboratory’s administrative and security policies, as well as relevant sections of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
* Providing support and coverage to the reception desk, processing incoming/outgoing visit requests, and maintaining the visitor database
* Ensuring appropriate training and development for all VSC members
* Creating, proofreading, maintaining, and distributing monthly statistical reports which provide detailed analysis of visitor related data, security classification, credentialing, and trends.
* Reviewing and approving all badge requests
* Overseeing the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) process
* Overseeing the Common Access Card (CAC) process

Requirements
What you need: For this position, you must meet these basic requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Security, Criminal Justice, Business Management, or related experience preferred
* 3-5 years of experience supervising and leading others is required
* Selected candidate must be a reliable self-starter who makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions
* The ability to work independently under minimal supervision, with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex situations, follow-up when necessary, and respond to customer needs
* Must possess mature judgment and a cooperative attitude towards working in a close-knit team environment
* Must be able to interact with visitors and Laboratory personnel at all levels
* Must be able to set priorities and handle multiple tasks.
* Must be able to organize assignments within given timeframes and possess excellent inter-personal skills.
* Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level DoD security clearance

Hiring Range: $88,500 - $117,300
