Job Description

The group is engaged in the assessment, development and evaluation of electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensors, techniques, systems and architectures to support critical missions such as wide-area day/night surveillance.  The candidate will join a hardware/simulation/test team focused on these activities and is expected to provide key technical contributions on current programs, propose and lead new efforts, and communicate effectively in sponsor interactions.  Key technical responsibilities will be image processing of data from multi-spectral imaging systems and includes code generation and data analysis in collaborative team settings.  The candidate will also participate in and guide current and future data collections to inform critical mission areas and drive future technology and system development.  The candidate should be able to work well in teams and is expected to effectively participate in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams of system design, system integration, and signal analysis engineers and scientists. Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with the ability and interest to learn new application areas and leverage knowledge in physics, mathematics, or related engineering fields to solve complex problems.  Experience with optical systems, image data analysis and programming languages such as Matlab to conduct analysis is preferred.  Experience in multi-developer projects with version control and interest/experience in AI/ML approaches is preferred.

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Remote Sensing, Physics or related field. In lieu of a Ph.D., a Master's degree with 5+ years of directly relevant experience
