Job Description
The Human Health & Performance Systems Group is searching for a candidate to participate in and eventually lead systems analysis projects related to neurocognitive systems, operational medical systems, and other complex human systems. Analysis could involve complex socio-technical systems modeling, mechanistic neurocognitive modeling, and other computational modeling.
The Human Health & Performance Systems Group is seeking a Technical Staff member to support systems analysis efforts over a broad range of technology areas to address key stakeholders’ needs and further the group’s core human health & performance mission areas. Example problems include:
- Assessing, developing and testing sensors and sensing architectures to enable real-time sensing of human health or performance threats
- Investigating artificial intelligence, data analytics, and sensor fusion for health & performance applications
- Evaluating technologies and architecture concepts to aid in advanced situational awareness.
Systems analysis often includes the development of models and simulations in coordination with stakeholder communities to incorporate operational constraints, requirements, and concepts of operation. The staff member may also support the design, prototyping and field testing of prototype health & performance systems.
Staff members work in a team environment to study a broad range of technical questions of importance to human health & performance. As experience is gained, the candidate will be required to interact with potential sponsors and collaboratively generate new program ideas. Systems analyst activities include data analysis, mathematical/statistical modeling, algorithm development, and modeling of technologies and human systems within a mission scenario context.
