Job Description
Equipment Maintenance Technician A (I.C.) 1st Shift (Monday through Friday Schedule 7:00 am - 3:30pm)
Candidate will work in the existing class 100 Compound Semiconductor Laboratory clean room and will migrate to the new, state of the art, research building currently under construction. This position will be supporting a broad range of activities in the Advanced Technology Division manufacturing integrated photonics devices, laser, detectors sensor devices, and micro mechanical structures. Primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair various semiconductor process tools and work with area equipment specialists to assist in troubleshooting complex system failure, tool installs, support facilities system such as deionized water, process chilled water systems and gas bottle changes. Additional responsibilities include assisting external field service engineers in system maintenance and repairs. The goal of this position is to maintain a high level of equipment availability to ensure program work is produced with excellent quality and low cycle time.
****Graduation from a two-year day technical school or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of applicable experience are preferred.
Requirements
• Candidate should have at least two years of experience repairing semiconductor processing equipment in a semiconductor fabrication facility or equivalent.
• Previous experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance is preferred.
Skills:
• Candidate should be well organized, detail oriented, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to follow process instructions accurately and consistently, with minimal supervision.
• This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a solid work ethic.
• Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills
• The candidate will document equipment maintenance via SOP's.
• Ability to focus on issues with a precise attention to detail is desirable
• Reliable (Solid attendance).
• Maintain a variety of semiconductor processing equipment.
• Understand equipment operation and be able to identify potential problems with the equipment through observation and if required, escalate resolution to the next level.
• Work with equipment specialist to learn newly installed tools and processes
