The facility processes full-flows for a range of integrated circuit technologies including 90 nm fully depleted silicon-on-insulator CMOS, science grade CCD imagers, superconducting digital and quantum circuits, photonics, MEMs, and microfluidics.
Job Description
The Microelectronics Laboratory is seeking a Quality Manager eager to apply their science and engineering skills in support of prototype fabrication of state-of-the-art superconducting circuits, quantum computing, radiation hardened electronics, charge coupled imagers and more.
As part of the Microelectronics Laboratory staff, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the monitoring and improvement of the site quality management processes. Quality management system (QMS) focus areas include the problem reporting process, formal corrective actions, key performance indicators (KPIs), risk assessments, change control, performance feedback, quality management awareness/training, annual strategic planning, management initiatives, and audit programs. This role will also partner across Division 8 Advanced Technology and Lincoln Laboratory to further the Microelectronic Laboratory’s mission to deliver microfabrication capabilities for U.S. national security, scientific discovery, and economic opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and drive continuous improvement in the lab’s management system processes
- Schedule and host weekly QMS working meetings as well as biannual QMS reviews
- Collect and analyze feedback and key performance indicators to drive improvement
- Promote QMS awareness/engagement and skills development across the organization
- Motivate corrective actions teams from initiation through root cause analysis, verification of effectiveness, and closure of issues
- Coordinate the internal and external registration audit programs
- Participate in risk analyses including supplier, process, and capital equipment assessments.
- Provide back-up coverage for selected Microelectronics Laboratory staff
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline is required with 5+ years of experience.
- Candidate must have experience with maintaining and complying with quality systems, such as ISO9001, preferably in a high-mix fabrication environment.
- Experience in the application of Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Measurement Systems Analysis, Advanced Quality Planning, Change Management, and Structured Problem Solving are desired.
- Certification or experience as an ISO9001 internal auditor is desired.
- Must have the ability to review data and analyze information toward the evolution of metrics for continuous process improvement.
- Demonstrated capabilities in presenting ideas written and orally.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and possess strong communication skills.
Recent Graduate Hiring Range: $100,200-$120,000
Experienced Hiring Range: $100,200-$150,000
